Bass Player LIVE! - in Los Angeles

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi everyone,

Wanted to make sure that you're all aware of this seriously hip bass happening:

If you haven’t already heard, we Bass Player magazine folks will be taking over SIR Studios in Hollywood in just two weeks for Bass Player LIVE!

Some of you may have been to one of these events in New York or read about it in the magazine. If you haven't, Bass Player LIVE! is a two-day extravaganza of workshops, clinics, product demos, and concerts taking place November 1–2. This year Nathan East is presenting a Lifetime Achievement Awards to Verdine White, Flea is presenting one to Mike Watt, and I'm doing a presentation for session bass pioneer Carol Kaye. The clinics include Stanley Clarke, Chris Chaney, Larry Klein, Neil Stubenhaus, Bobb Vega, Jeff Berlin, Steve Bailey, P-Nut, and loads more. Plus there's gobs of gear to check out from tons of builders and manufacturers.

Details are at bassplayerlive.com. If you're able to make it, be sure to find me and say hello. (I'm the guy whose picture is usually on page 10 of Bass Player mag.)

Hope to see you there!

Bill

Sure this will be awesome - can't get to Cali though. Where will it be next year? Will there be another East Coast event?

Thanks for the info.

I'm defiantly going. I saw in an add a couple months ago that Juan Alderete was going to be there, am I wrong?

Thanks,

-Roy

Lots of love for the Big Apple! We did BPL in NY since '04. But we love other folks other places, too!

Unfortunately, Juan regretfully had to cancel because of a Mars Volta commitment that came up.

For the latest list of groovy dudes and dudettes in attendance, check www.bassplayerlive.com.

Do you know who's doing the clinics on saturday? I might only get a one day pass

P.S.: How come Bassplayer.tv hasn't been updated in a while?

You BP cats need to do one of these down South sometime. Atlanta, Orlando, San Antonio or New Orleans come to mind.
