I'm looking for the same thing just down the road from you in London.
The local music store has postings for bass players needed for ACDC cover band, a Pantera cover band, various punk bands for which I am to old accorging to the ad; "must have good gear between 15 and 21 years old" etc, etc. I'm sure those kids would never believe me if I told them I was in a moderatley succesful punk band xx years ago. There is my lonely ad offering my services as a jazz, blues, funk player. I'll keep looking and start going to the local blues jams. Maybe there are blues jams in Windsor as well. I have found an upright jazz gig for the fall. A bunch of doctors in town get together to play and record standards. Can't wait!!
