Was there a riff you heard either that made you want to play bass or just after you started learning the bass made you want to stick with it. I first started playing in the late 70's - early 80's and at that time there were several:
Another One Bites The Dust - Queen
Super Freak - Rick James
Cars - Gary Newman
My Sharona - The Knack
Drugs In My Pocket - The Monks
What was it for you? |

That was probably what actually made me want to play bass. Other songs that fueled my bass-ic desire were, among many others,
Phantom of The Opera - Maiden
Immigrant Song - Zeppelin
Fairies Wear Boots - Sabbath |

That was all.... | What is "Close Your Eyes" I've never heard of it, unless you mean "All My Loving"? |

man...thinking about it.. ive been playing metal for a while now.. and as much as i would LIKE to say im influenced by cliff and steve... A LOT of my style and the tone i find most appealing is based off what i played when i first started to learning to play bass... and i guess that would be based off of Tony Kanal. |
