Very acquired taste as its as brutal and over-the-top as death metal currently gets but I've never seen a tapping technique like his and at such ludicrous speed, fun to watch!
I also love Michael Manrings tapping style. |

I'm currently in love with manrings tone but the 2 cds of his I downloaded had WAY to much saxaphone... |

Nevertheless, he is one of the few bass players who make tapping sound like more than just a bad piano player! His peice, Watson and Crick, of of Drastic Measure (be prepared for smooooth Oboe on this album, let alone sax) is far and away, the most interesting, and musical tapping composition I have ever heard. There are clearly 3 or 4 countermelodies going on at once throughout most of the song, it is just amazing. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
