I absolutely love the song, the vibe and movement. I also find the bass line to be the quintessential one for my tastes.

Do you know who recorded this tune in the studio?

I'm not sure who played it originally but I have to agree, it's a pretty cool bass line. I'm actually in a band right now where I'm playing the bass line and singing the lead vocal, although I don't think I'm doing either nearly as well as the original recording... not easy.\

I especially like the little lick he does going into the third verse.

If i'm correct, that would either be Jerry Scheff, Duke Bardwell or Bob Moore (Scotty Moore's brother, I think).

thanks a lot for revealing me the correct name of this bass great giant.

i will investigate on the other recordings he did.
