Can someone tell me who plays the bass for Dr. John on his CD "Duke Elegant"?

And what kind of bass is it?

Hey John, thanks for all the info.

I was in the process of cleaning up my iTunes library when I came across with this album, Duke Elegant, which actually belonged to a friend but ended up on my iTunes when I helped him convert the CD into MP3.

I had never heard it before but as soon as I played the very first song, this warm, fat and infectious grooves of the bass instantly caught my attention.

I just had to find out who it was and what kind of bass it was.
Thanks.

In very recently saw an old Sadowsky for sale, a 4 string J that had 'belonged to Dr. John's bass player', according to the ad. I don't remember much about it, sorry, but I do remember it was a beautiful looking bass.
