Shaming Metallica for Lulu is like shaming any celebrity actor for doing that one indie film no one actually watched.

This is what he is so excited about. Much better than I thought it would be. In a "If Metallica was a motorhead cover band, and played one original in the second set" kinda way.

It's actually not bad, the riffs are right on. He's not great as a front man. Selling believability at his age in front of a metal power trio can't be easy, and while I wouldn't say he fails, it is the weak link.

In trying to find vid, I saw that the guitar player from Staind has now made them a 4 piece.

I think the live-in-studio version of the song is more impressive. I'm not a huge metal fan but to me this sounds pretty great

I really want to like this stuff. I really do. It just must be my age (40). I just can't appreciate it like when I was 16.

I just downloaded the EP. I really want to like it, but nothing is really grabbing me. There's some cool riffs and all, but it's pretty stock sounding.

Pretty ballsy calling the band "Newsted". He's a solid bassist, but I'm not sure if that warrants naming his band after himself.

He want to have more control over the creative direction of the band....I can't blame him to be fair.

Naming the band after him is an easy way to do that.

Kind of like Metallica to me if they didn't let go trash metal to become pop metal band.

it is ok but not enough for me

Couple riffs are cool, but the vocals are bad and there is no real hook. Sounds like a B side to a Metallica record.
