Who, in your opinion, made Rickenbacker as famous as they are today?
Surely Ric's didnt catch on and sell like hot-cakes since day one of production. They had to start somewhere, right?

While it's true the McCartney and Enswistle both played them, they didn't do so as exclusively as Geddy and Chris, who still plays one till this day. Rickenbacker even put out a Chris Squire signature model quite some time ago.

| | | | I think of Squire and Maca. I seem to remember some "new wave" bands using them. The Jam, Joe Jackson's bass player. (Great BTW). In my circles I don't see them though. The only way I would know they are popular now is by reading posts on TB. Personally I've never thought the playability and looks were that appealing. No offense to those who enjoy them. Just not my thing. But I appreciate those who wave their banner and make music with them. |

Wait, never mind. |
