From time to time I'll grow a knarly handlebar mustache. It seems that the mustache has magical powers that make me popular. I generally don't like attention, but it amazes me how people will go out of their way to talk to me when I have a mustache, yet I'm pretty well ignored without one.
So, post a photo of your mystical whiskers. Beards are certainly welcomed too. I like to tell people my mustache inspires people. With one wiggle of a whisker I can inspire people to build bridges or tear them down. That's a load of crap, but it's funny to tell people that.
Mustache ride jokes are certainly welcomed Here's mine posing with my favorite pedal; none other then the Grey Stache of course!

Last year when Ry did his first run of the Grey Stache, most of us on that first waiting list grew mustache's from the day of our order, then posted how far we grew the day we got the pedal. It was a "stache for a stache" support group kinda thing. I was just thinking back to that and figured I would start this thread with a similar photo.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't gotten more attention. I figured lots of us would have facial hair. It kinda helps with the groove...

Not sure if this will take off or if anyone really cares about being in this silly club... but.... just in case, claim your're own number when you post. Keep it in order. I'm claiming mine. I know how much effort and sacrafice it takes to grown an ubber sexy stache.

This pic is from about 3 years ago.
And here is a pic of the stache
I'm right there with you on the handlebars. All in all, us handlebar moustachioed bassists know how to rally the troops with a twist of our fingers.

| | | I have had a moustache since I was 17 and can't seem to shave it off. I have had a full beard or goatee but the stache remained and it has become sort of a trademark for me. The ladies like it. In fact, all three of us in my band have moustaches.
Have you ever heard the song "Man With A Moustache" by The Guys? It also appeared in a documentary movie about moustaches. THE GUYS | Free Music, Tour Dates, Photos, Videos |

But that was just a joyride.

But that was just a joyride. | I've been in the aviation field for 10 years and still can't afford my pilot's license. I'm a mechanic and hope to someday work a deal where I can work for flight time. So far, no love. I love airplanes, but I hate the greedy SOB's that own them. Helicopters are soooooo much worse. I specialize in rotorwinged aircraft and helicopter owners are the greediest, cheapest people I have yet to meet. The pilots are normally pretty cool, but the people who actually own the helicopters are as penny pinching as possible. I would actually loose money sometimes as a contractor and had to go to work for a major manufactorer to be able to provide benefits for my family and actually bring home any money. It's a real cut throat industry, so keep it a hobby if you ever get into it.
