bassist for "The Real Thing"

I'm sure most of you are familiar with the soul band "The Real Thing" which yielded chart toppers such as "you to me are everything" and "can't get by without you"

There's a distinctive groovy P bass line in their songs. Does anybody know who their bassist was and his set up?

They didn't have a bassist IIRC. They have a B3 player who uses foot pedals. I checked out their website and there is no bassist in the band.

!!!you gotta be kidding!!! :P

If it is so, his footwork must be amazing. sounds to me like a bona fide rnb bassline played on a precision bass!
