Ok, first off: What's his name?
Second: What gear does he use?

Last time I saw them he was playing G & L basses and SVT amps. Don't know what strings.
He does use a pick.
I liked their first two records best.

He gets an awfully nice sound frome them...Do you know what model G & L, And, I know that the pickups he has in it CAN'T be stock in the least...they sound active, some EMG or SD perhaps? |

G&L have some of the most complicated electronics and are known for there preamp/p-ups.
Hey may use a G&L 2500 also.
His sound is alot like some of the early 90's Helmet recordings.

And click on 'Players'.
It is the store that supplies Chris's gear and has a little info on him.
It says he only uses strings designed by The Bassplayer.

I really would like to get a sound similar to his, it's kind of the one I've been looking for, and I imagine with all those knobs and switches, I can find "my sound". So now, I just have to find $1300 for a L-2000..hehe, anyone? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
