Which bassist do you think approaches making basslines the way same way you would if you were in there particuliar band? Please try not just to name the bassists you idolize.
For me it would probly be timmy c from RATM. I don't even listen to them that much. I just like how he locks into a groove instead of being flashy very much my style.

A drummer/guitarist from my hometown. I'm his main reference for bass playing. When he picks up a bass he tries (and fails) to sound like me. In fact, quite a few friends of mine want to play bass now because "they didn't know bass could sound cool."


Sorry, your thread title does sound like you came before this bassist, and they try to sound like you..
