I figured we could take a moment to pay tribute to our friends with the sticks. We all know how vital the connection between the drummer and the bassist is for creating great bass/percussion lines. Share some of your favorite Bassist/Drummer combos.
Lately I've been listening to a lot of Stanton Moore (Galactic, Stanton Moore Trio, etc.). It seems like whoever he plays with (and he plays with practically everyone in the NOLA scene) sounds great, but I absolutely love hearing him play with George Porter Jr. Probably because Moore reminds me so much of Zigaboo Modeliste: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAJtmDQBvF8

EDIT: JPJ and John Bonham too. I should stop stealing people's thunder...
EDIT 2: After thinking about it all day, I've added John Entwistle and Keith Moon. Moon's crazyness and John's awesomeness combined created a powerhouse of a rhythm section.

They had this show back in the 80's/early 90's that was like instructional videos on how to play. It was called the Chad and Flea show. Youtube it. Its pretty entertaining.
