Well since we had the "bassists with cutting tone in rock music?"
I thought We might talk about some metal players who stand up in the madness metal music can Be. So who do you think of
I´ll Start with:
Ron Royce-Coroner
David Vincent-Morbid Angel, Terrorizer
Danni Lilker-Nuclear Assault
Greg Christian-Testament
D.D Verni-Overkill
So Now´s your turn
P.S: Slipknot, tool, System of whatever are not metal bands. |

They are techically. Where did you get the idea they are not? Slipknot are nu metal, Soad are alt metal and Tool are weird metal.
They are still metal....... |

My vote is for Derek Smalls of Spinal Tap.

| A lot of people consider all of them to be Numetal, and not metal. Genres are stupid, but a line has to be drawn somewhere. Most metalheads just happen to draw that line so that numetal =/= metal.
But yeah back to the point-DAVE ELLEFSON
edit: oops fixed quotes

Now If you believe they´re metal, beacuse MTV says so that your decision. Maybe I should have put that in the first place. |

For metal, I would say the bassist who stand out in the mix the best would be Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, GREAT undistorted bass tone. |

I don't know if he played on all of their stuff, but I have that album, and the bass playing is great. He plays fretless too, the only bassist I know of that does in that style. Great album.... I think I'll take another listen to it. |

Oh, well I guess since you consider Tool to be metal, everyone else in the world has to as well :/ What an original, open minded way of thinking. |
