Bassists that have influenced other instrumentalists

Most advanced jazz bassists have spent considerable time studying and analyzing the lines of horn players and guitar players to expand their vocabulary for soloing and playing melodically.

I was wondering if anyone's heard of any horn players, guitar players etc who have admitted to being significantly influenced by a bass player.
