I was wondering if anyone knew of any bassists who use an explorer shaped bass, if so pictures would be nice.

Chris Glenn of The Michael Schenker Group (1981-84) played a Gibson Explorer. Great looking bass and awesome tone.

The Guy from Def Leppard plays Hamer Explorers

I drive a Ford Explorer (LOL)

Good call- Chris Glenn doesnt get mentioned for what he did w/ MsG, but he was great w/ them...

Rick Savage used Hamers during the Pyromania/Hysteria album & tours, and now uses Washburn 5 stringers and he too sounds better than ever

Not bashing on Savage- just merely a comment- I got to hear a few of the Leppard tracks broken down into individual tracks in ProTools. That is a thoroughly pedestrian bass sound in there- the synth is more of the bass than what is done with the bass guitar.
