bassists that use delay

As the title states I just wanted to know some bassists that use delay. I am thinking about getting a delay pedal so I just wanted to hear some delay in action. thanks

Tony Levin uses it on King Crimson's Sleepless. Quite interesting effect he achieves.

Justin Chancellor of Tool uses it some. It's an interesting effect for bass and one that takes some time and work to find a use for in most bands. I would highly suggest not getting one until you've played with one for a while and have found a legitimate use for it - otherwise you'll just be wasting money.

I get a great mix using a groove regulator, mxr analog delay, and a ceb-3 chorus (all with very mild settings). I've found it handy to do intros with from time to time.

What's that classic old Pink Floyd tune that opens w/ the tape delay bass..."Meddle" ? "One Of These Days" ? Or maybe it's (duh!) "Echoes" ?

Chris Squire used delay on a bunch of stuff with Yes & on his first solo album.

Mick Karn (he had a DigiTech DSP128 when I saw him live years ago).

Yup, 'One of these Days' is delay, and two different bass tracks as well, one played by Gilmour and one by Waters. The strings on Gilmour's bass were dead, but the roadie he sent to fetch new strings ran off with a groupie, so he recorded with dead strings, Water's strings were brand new

Well, first one must obtain a delay in order to put that time and work into getting a good use out of it, no?

I have heard the story other way round. The first bass with crispy strings was played by Dave and Waters had to settle for the dead ones. Anyway, a great and innovative stuff. I especially love the part where the cutting tremolo hacks the bassline to bits.

Roger Waters on One Of These Days is striking. He gets a cool polyrhythm effect going. He used delay live as well, or it might have been bleedthrough on some delayed vocal microphones. Either way it is cool to hear.

I used to own a working Line 6 DL4 ... thing was tits-nice. But they're cheaply constructed, and on two occasions the stomp buttons needed to be repaired (NOT ONLY did I baby this baby, but I kept her in the box when not in use from day one).

Now I'm using an MXR Carbon Copy. Not nearly as many options as the DL4, but warm as hell and even easier to use.

EDIT: I misunderstood this thread. Still, my comments stand true.

John Taylor uses delay on 'Wild Boys'. The song itself is bad, but the bassline is cool.

In the new Bass Guitar Magazine there is a picture of Mark King's pedal-board with a couple delays in it.

All kinds of delay effects are out there.

I use the preset on my Zoom, dial it in at low wetness and gives the bass a full sound in a band setting.
