I was just thinking that in the seventies, both Rocco Prestia and Larry Graham developed in the Bay area. Later came Bobby Vega. I would guess Raphael Saddiq is the resident Bay area Bassman as we speak. I'm sure I'm missing lots of people. Who are some other great San Francisco/Oakland bassists? |

Phil Lesh is a great bassist in my opinion, who (along with the rest of the Grateful Dead) came from Frisco.
