...those indeed were the daze(guitarists wanted to sound like keyboardists & keyboardists wanted to sound like guitarists).

Also, roy has another cool instrument he calls the "roy-el"
it uses the resonance frequencies from the periodic table of elements brought down to an audible range, very neat stuff. looks kind of like a piano. | I've heard that before, and I have also heard a clinic he did.
I think he is a great drummer, and drumitar player, but some of his 'future technology' theories I have issues with. Not saying there are plin wrong, but I would love some details about it without him always saying 'see, I took that left turn at alberqueque', alluding that I am always in the dark about what he is saying.
That said, the Flecktones are ridiculous. Great group on every level! |

If you have little worlds he plays it on "The Cave", disc 3 track 1... and also I presume on the intro to Next... the tune they did on Conan. Although it's really different (read: better) live from the studio version. |

Did everyone notice the black tape over the logos on the head and the cab? I would guess that Ampeg doesn't like to see Victor using Peavey gear ...
(FWIW, I could read the Trace' logo just fine on Bela's amp, so I don't believe the tape on Victor's gear was a clash with network advertising or anything {even though Trace' has been Gibson-ized}).

If you read on further on the DMB message board, the guy says he had to take it down due to bandwith issues or something. My parents taped it for me and I got to watch it once while I was visiting, not their best performance, but then again, they really couldn't get REALLY into it being the kind of band they are. Really cool to hear that kind of basswork on Conan O' Brien though.
