Most of the clips I have seen have him playing a P, but I've also seen this one?

Anyone know what it is? Kind of looks like a BC rich, but I'm not sure.

The story behind Bernard's B.C. Rich is well documented.

BTW, I've only seen videos of Mr. Edwards playing his StingRay (until now).

Many thanks. I didn't turn up anything in the first 5 pages or so of search.

Those are nice clips. Bernard is so scrawny, no wonder the man passed that night. He clearly was not well. I remember when I heard he died. It truly broke my heart.

Actually, he said it after being introduced: "I've got the Tokyo flu".

what amazing tone. a true great. it's funny how we can all get wrapped up about gear and buying more gear and so on. i guess bernard was the opposite. an interviewer asked him once what kind of strings he used. i guess he gave the guy a sort of weird look and simply said, "uh, i don't know, what kind of strings come with a stingray bass." !! i guess he never changed them. talk about a guy just concerned with the music.

@markjazz

Guess you know the Dance,Dance,Dance Album..... just try Number 2 Dance,Dance,Dance with Flats and a Pick - and Voilla

Could be possible that he used other Strings....but I've heard it a lot from everywhere and when you try it with Flats...you might feel of gettin' close

I heard a story that once, somebody asked him, "Bernard, what strings do you use?" He replied, "I don't know, what strings come with a Stingray?"

He'd never changed them since he bought the bass!
