Hi a friend told me there was a cool bass reef on that song.
In allmusic, it says Mr edwards recorded the bass of that song and that album. Does he record the song or it was recorded with a synth bass??

I cant litsen to 80's female pop songs anymore..they are all so sped up its insane. Its possible he did, but Im sure they ended up speeding the line up too.

He may have been credited on the album but I think that it synth bass on that song, IIRC.

I think alot of it is synth bass doubled with bass guitar.

Well, you be the judge on this one. I'm hearing all synth bass on this one. If it's doubled, it's WAY down in the mix.

I have listed to most of the good songs on her records and I agree that it's synth bass and if there is an actual bass gtr it is buried. What a sin to bury Bernard Edwards no pun intended. He was the man!
