Bernard is awesome, I picked up his first solo CD(Basses Covered) awhile back but I know he has some new ones now. He definetly knows his way around chordal playing. He also has multiple bass tracks on a lot of his songs, one or two doing chords and accompaniment and another doing melody(you're right, very melodic). Some of his stuff kind of sounds like Wayman Tisdale but without all the other instruments(horns, etc...). Which is cool IMO

btw, I think my Mom likes his CD more than me because she keeps it in her car
