The Madonna gig would be excellent for something like that....and would pay well too....
Victor Bailey (and Omar Hakim) worked with Madonna live a few years ago.

I remember seein Victor and Hakim on SNL with Madonna. I was pretty young, but with Victor rockin the Pensa with a backwards cap and a big ass EBS rig, I had that 'open mouthed' experience, where you just can't move.

I saw Beyonce on TV doing a set and the bass playing was pretty good... but the brass section were so obviously miniming that I don't know if all the musicians were or not. Terrible song

I remember it because he was playing a five string... not too long after saying he didn't see the need for one

The December, 2006 issue of Bass Player features players that have played for both Beyonce and Justin Timberlake. Kevin Walker, Timberlake's bassist is in Bass Notes and Jon Jon Webb's bassline for "Deja Vu," Beyonce's first single from her current CD is compleetely transcribed. There is also a blurb about MC Divinity, her touring bassist.

Madonna's Musical Director/bassist is Stuart Price. He also produced her latest album. He's a great bassist/writer/producer. Check out his work as Les Rhythmes Digitale and his band Zoot Woman.

It's in the new BP. Jon Jon Webb wrote the bass line. There's an article and a complete transcription of the bass on Beyonce's Deja Vu.

I know that Beyonce has been using Divinity as of late, however I thought one of the best players that she was using was a kid by the name of Sharay Reed. I do know that Justin Timberlake is using Kevin Walker currently.
