credit where it's due. . .

Alexis Sklarevski was one of the first bassists to come out with a great slap method. Takes me back (about 20 years?) seeing this.

I just got this DVD from Mrdak. Sure it's dated by the look and grainy video, but the lessons are beyond time. Very useful and I hope that one day he'll release an updated version.

...and it seems to be true Mr. Gates can't seem to quite releasing Beta versions of his products for us to debug, but that is just IMHO.

He'll play great for a few months and then begin to freeze on stage and turn blue only to have to relearn how to play all over again. lol Bad MS Windows comparison..I know.

Yeah I'd rather have Steve Jobs on bass. He gets all the ladies anyways.

If you're using Microsoft software, you can use any bass you want since there's no hardware limitation. If you use OSX, then you can only use Apple basses. I prefer the Bass Pro, though some prefer the Bass Mini due to its short scale. The iBass and the Bassbook are also nice.
