Can't stand any of them, honestly.

They may "sound" cool, but they do not even remotely fit the definition of a "bassist".

Of course, that is merely one man's opinion.

Well you've obviously never seen Billy live then.

I've seen him live twice with Steve Vai and he is not just about chops, flash or fast playing. The guy has a tone like thunder and can lay down some serious groove.

I've just listened to some of that "Behold...the Arctopus" band that Colin Marston is in and they are hilariously bad.

I thik the title in this video is about right:

None of them are my favorite, or the 'best' IMO, but I've never even heard of colin marston... so by default he's off my list.

After looking him up... I just confirmed that he is way off of any 'best bassist' lists I could think up.

I dont think that colin marston guy can do anything to les or billy, I dont care if he plays his warr guitar, I've tried listen to arctopus, but I just dont care for it.

And Les is funky!

Billy lacks some grooviness, he's like Yngwie Malmsteen of bass, only not fat.
Colin is a poser.
Les is a genius.
