Checking around tonight over on bassland.net/jamerson, I saw a pilot for a movie called the Birth of Bass. Anyone out there know more about it?

It's not out yet. But it prominently features Bob Babbitt, among others. Should be a pretty nice movie.

Birth of Bass

Thank you LiLRay for finding the Birth of Bass clip!
It was great! I particularly loved the extreme closeup of
Bob Babbitt's beat-up Fender Precision with the piece of foam tucked under the strings for a mute. I remember doing that around 1971 with my Precision; still have that bass. Loved the memorable recollections of Jamerson's one fingered playing style.

That's what TB is here for. I'd find it hard to believe I'm the first here to have ran across the clip though. I dig the idea of the movie as well. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
