Anybody ever check 'em out?
I heard them on the world cafe the other week and immediately bought their cd--wow that is a lot of energy behind that band, and the bass player really gets a nice thick tone out of his P-bass
i guess they really hit it big at SXSW and they've only been getting bigger!

for those of you not in the know, here are some youtubes!

I realize there are people here who love James Brown, and they are going to yell at me for this, but to me, the band sounds like if James Brown came from texas and played blues rather than funk

heard em on wnti today and promptly went to amazon and downloaded one of their albums. Sugarfoot kills! Wild Bill gets an amazing tone out of that P-bass. I have to think he is using labella flats. on the vids and pics I only see him with a small 15 behind him. He gets some real funky tone recorded, however it is done.
