The Black Keys- anyone know about their studio bassist?

I've been listening to a lot of black keys lately- I'm wondering who plays bass for them when they're in the studio? I'm assuming its either Dan or Patrick playing it, but I would be pleasantly surprised to learn that they have a studio bassist. The lines are by no means flashy but compliment the band's style nicely. I especially dig the legato, sliding line in "Psychotic Girl". But yeah, if anyone has any info on that, I'd love to know. Thanks

the album Attack & Release was produced by Danger Mouse who typically tracks bass. i would be surprised if it were a studio bassist.

guitar/drums duo.

Check out Dan Auerbach's album 'keep it hid'.

The drummer/producer's name is Pat Carney.

They don't have a 'bassist'.

Well there is certainly somebody playing bass on their records- we're wondering who. And jk3, what do you mean by Danger Mouse "tracking" the bass? As in he plays it himself?

The only Black Keys album I've heard bass on is Attack & Release. Can you cite songs on the other albums where you think there's bass?

I used to think there was bass on a couple songs off of the Big Come Up (Them Eyes, She Said She Said)- but a quick look at the album sleeve showed there was no bass on the record. Hpmh. GregC, you're correct on this one. Now I'm just wondering who plays the bass on Attack & Release.
