I started playing blues like 1 year ago and my gosh it's so nice. You can really FEEL the music, not just playing it. And improvisations are cool to, it contributes to learning your scales and a bunch of thing.

I have Fender P's and J's, all with TI's; I like both, but I prefer the P's. I use an Ampeg SVT-VR and Berg NV610. I recently picked up a Mesa Walkabout which also sounds pretty sweet with the Berg. Quote:

And just because you play a Blues song or two doesn't mean you're a Blues player. | I totally disagree... some equipment sounds better for playing the Blues. For me, passive electronics have a more vintage sound and gives a song a more authentic feel than a bass with active electronics.

Why it ranks right up there with folks who can tell, just by listening, if the player is using a maple, or rosewood fretboard.
