Blues Bassists

A while back, maybe within the past year, Guitarist magazine put out a special edition for Blues Guitarists. As you could imagine, it was everyone from Clapton to Mayer to Hooker and BB.

But, where the heck is the Blues Bassist book?

It's a shame. I pulled the blues guitarists pub out of the files to review while I had the most recent Crossroads fest on in the background. About the same time that I started to wonder about Blues bassists, Dusty Hill walked out with the Top and just killed it.

So, has anyone seen something like this? Did Bass Player ever do a special supplement for blues bassists? I know there have been a few things for funk and R&B bassists, but I don't recall one for blues guys.

Bringing back an old thread.

BP did a blues issue way back when in 97 I believe. Had Roscoe Beck and Tommy Shannon on the cover. Great interview with Tommy (promoting his band Storyville).

BP did a better thing way back in '91. They had 4 blues players in a micro interview format - but I learned about James Cotton from that interview - so it's probably one of my most cherished issues...
