Blues songs

I want to go to a local blues jam and I am wondering if I can just fake my way through it or if I should actually try to learn some songs. If so which ones? I know what I like, but I have no idea what people are playing out there, I've never been to anything like that before. I have no experience gigging and I have only played with one band that never really did much, so I thought that something like that would be cool to get out and play and meet some people.

I think that I could just fake my way through pretty much any 12-bar pattern in any key, and maybe some stuff that just stays on one chord. But my question is what would be some good tunes to learn?

If it's a weekly event maybe go once or twice and don't play. Listen to what they're doing for tunes and meet some people. You could ask the musicians themselves. Usually a Jam will have a house band that kind of binds the evening together and keeps it moving along. I'm sure those guys would have some helpful suggestions.
