Those tuxes would weight about 15 pounds by the end of a set.

That's a pretty cool documentation of that band in the old days. Thanks for posting!

Man, what a great band! I always loved how you guys would take such catchy pop rock songs and bizarre them up the way you do. Wish that vid had better sound, though.

It's not great, but I've heard way worse.

We were actually trying to incorporate more modal stuff into traditional power pop. We called it east meets midwest.

Apparently it didn't really catch on.

Ya, you guys were too creative and not hairbandy or pompously new wave enough for the times.

We had a nice following of music-head type people but never slipped into the mainstream. We were on the Primitive Man label, which was a subsidiary of IRS records, which was a subsidiary of MCA. When you're way out there in subsidiary land you don't really command the promotion muscle of a major label. I suspect the Primitive Man label was little more than a tax dodge for IRS Record's prez Miles Copland...but what do I know?

The music was good and holds up pretty well and we had a lot of fun.

I thought he rocked pretty hard in the Raisins too. Love the bass line in this song.

I remember that outfit! But who's that young hotshot guitar player hoggin' up the stage?

All snark aside... what a refreshing performance!

Which one?

You've got Adrian Belew and Rob Fetters. They're both pretty darn competent.

...and thanks amigo.
