Just wanted to let you guys in the NYC area know (in case you didn't already), that Bobby Vega will be layin it down with a Jefferson Starship/Quicksilver Messenger Service reunion gig.

If you have not seen Bobby play, I would HIGHLY recommend that you catch him there if you can. I got to see him speak and play at the Dudepit School of Bass in Arizona last fall and he is nothing short of awesome! I've never see a dude lay it down on a Fender Jazz with a pick the way he does.

And a nicer guy you will never meet.

Bobzilla rules - Bring back KVHW PLEASE, somebody make it happen!
Him and Kimock were so good together - that whole band was stellar.

he is a great funky bassist that has a cool array of right hand techniques...if you have not seen him, highly recommended.

Sorry I missed his show but I was playing Lucille's down the hall. I could see the Starship from the stage whenever they opened the kitchen hall door.

That's pretty cool!

I would have liked to make that show. If the weather hadn't been so crappy, I might have considered driving to NYC for the show.
