Have you guys heard about it yet? I'm part of the team working on it and was curious what Talk Bass folks thought about it.

I probably couldn't afford it, and chances are it wouldn't be anywhere near where I live. Though it sounds like fun.

Merchant - I actually was pretty stoked when i saw what the price of tuition is. they are designing it to be like a gym membership. essentially something like 29 a month to study.

as someone that hasn't been able to afford lessons in recent years i was pretty excited that they wanted to keep it affordable. since we've been working with bootsy I was pretty impressed with how focused him and his team has been on making sure the program was accessible. i know its for intermediate and advanced players at the onset, which i also thought was kind of cool.

am just wondering why or how the "Enrollment is limited" for an online program?

that's a good question. the enrollment is going to be limited because there actually is going to be some correspondents between the professors and the students. if there is too many students it would prove difficult, so the idea is to make the first year more intensive and see how players grow from the curriculum presented.

hmmm i get it! maybe it'll be a really cool idea to have limited seats in that case, but along with the already prepared material/lessons available to everyone at a different cost as a different package sort of thing?

yeah, i thought so too.

i think he wants this to be for people that want to get serious skills. i'm starting to meet some of the professors in the university and they are pretty hardcore. its going to be a very interesting couple of months as its being built. i'm already pretty amazed.
