man, no joke.... Nicole is just friggin' sexy hot!
I think the new disc has held up for me! Still gets plenty of turns in my player. I did have to edit the sex scene out of "How We Do This". The old lady put her foot down

...I think they're both from the '90s.

I really like Brother Sister; the album called BNH is also very good.

I just got SHELTER...it's amazing. First time i actually sat down and listened to Brand New Heavies! This stuff is just way funky and grooving. Andrew Levy makes me feel like I've never even touched a bass before! Woodshed time! lol

Excellent stuff!!!!

i've just picked up Brother Sister... really digging the bass on this album. does anyone know, what was the bassist using back then when they made this album? i've seen mention of him using Warwicks in the past, and more recently Fenders... the bass on this album sounds more Fender than Warwick to me...

someone said this album was reviewed years back in Bass Player mag... wonder if they mention what gear was used for that album... anyone recall? thanks, all!

I thought Levy was using (mostly) P-basses back then.

yeah, the early stuff sounds like a P-bass, but I think he switched to Warwick later...seems I remember him playing a Warwick on Shelter? (at least on You are the Universe)

Up until 'Shelter', it was all Fender (Precision). I saw the band a couple of times around 'Shelter' and Andrew was playing a white 5-string Warwick Streamer with a maple fretboard and a Warwick Dolphin (live, not sure what was used on the 'Shelter' recording).

More recently, he's used vintage Fender Jazzes a lot, but I've also seen him with a metallic flake Warwick Streamer.
