He used to be with Uncle Sammy, a Boston (Berklee) based band that had extremely talented guys that ended up not "making it". I haven't checked him out in a while but I just downloaded a recent GSB show. He's funking up bluegrass like I've never heard before. He sounds like a mix of Claypool, Stanley and Eckhardt - but he's doing it in a "bluegrass" setting! They let him just go off, lots of solo's. Almost like they're trying to do a Flecktones sort of thing. Seriously, I was listening to the show and our drummer came in and thought it was Primus (but with a banjo). Awesome stuff
