Brian Yale (Matchbox Twenty)
I was watching some snippets of a Matchbox Twenty concert today and I forgot how awesomely underrated Brian Yale is as a player. He's always playing some understated line that supports the song while being incredibly interesting from a musical standpoint. He's definitely a "place for every note and every note in its place" kinda cat.
I did a few sub gigs with a band some years ago and Real World was one of selections. I remember that it was probably the song I put the most work in, because there were all kinds of little subtle variations throughout the tune that I wanted to nail.
