I think 70's tube socks are the secret behind 70's jazz bass funksters... Its obviously not the bass! Anybody check out Marcus's socks? No? That's because they're a closely guarded secret!

Anyone remember Erector Set? Came out of Cincinatti in the early 1980's, and carried the torch from the above bands. Or at least tried to, until they got distracted by Ska, Techno-Pop, and every other subgenre that came down the pike.
