Just watched Bryan Adams dvd live at Slane Castle and he plays bass the entire set.He plays pick style on a Precision and a Sadowsky jazz among others and has great tone considering they are a trio. Anyone else see this.

Brian Adams is a band.
When the bass player couldnt make the tour for some reason, he didnt get another bass player bit he played bass for the tour.

I also think he is pretty good on bass.

I am at best a casual fan, but I like the way the band sounds as a 3 piece...makes the songs sound a lot heavier. The show itself is pretty well done, and the bass is pretty well up in the mix. I like BA's tone.

I bought this because I was messing around recording "Run to You" in Garage Band, and I thought that it might be easier to pick out the parts if I were to hear it live. That part was right on the money, but at least for that track, the live version is tuned down a 1/2 a step. That helps explain why it sounds as heavy as it does.

bryan adams

I had the pleasure of working with him about 2 years ago...he is a great bass player and has a great quality to be able to explain what he wants out of the bass..... a true artist
