That was nice but nothing extraordinary and I love Buckethead.

Seems like the archetypal 'I think I'll hit the bathroom then get a drink' bass solo.

I saw Buckethead (with That 1 Guy) last April and he didn't break out a bass. The guy is amazing on just about any stringed instrument. I've seen better videos of him playing bass so don't judge him on this one (even though it's not bad by any means!). Heck , the guy can slap a guitar like a bass and it sounds killer.

Buckethead is a helluva bass player, indeed.

Don't fake the funk. Which is exactly what he was doing in that video.

That was far from amazing bass playing. And if you asked him, I am sure he would agree with me.

Interesting watch, though. Not trying to be a killjoy, just not "amazing" bass playing, kind of a mislabeling.

He can slap to a drum machine and when he turns the drum machine off he can out wank any kid in GC.

But can he play bass? We still don't know.

I liked the vid though.

Not my definition of amazing but it's a fun jam. I can dig it.

I thought it was good playing, but not spectacular. It is proof that Buckethead is a solid musician in that he buys into the role of the bass and thinks bass, not guitar.
