Who is at 5:20 into this video?????? it looks like Justin Chancellor, I didnt think he auditioned for metallica, but I cant for the life of me think of anyone else in that age bracket playing a Wal, but im sure someone else out there can tell me who that is!!!

That's Danny Lohner from Nine Inch Nails, Justin Chancellor let him borrow his bass for this audition. If you look at the wear spots on the body above the pick ups you can tell it's Jusin's bass.

btw, has anyone ever seen an audition where it was ever so painfully clear that there was only one good choice? with all respect to the other great bassists who auditioned for metallica, rob trujillo was clearly the only right choice out of all of them.

Thanks guys!!! I knew that Wal looked really familiar but the player did not lol (I knew it couldn't have been JC) and Jimmy I very much agree, as much as I love all of Scott Reeders work he was having a hard time with For Whom the Bell Tolls!!!
