Never mind the fact JJ is dead.
Anyway, why on earth would a phenomenal bassist like that WANT to play the trooper, im sure he would have better things to use his talents for. |

I thought it was a joke too, until I saw a listing of JJ playing on some early hard-rock/heavy-metal recordings, including songs HE HIMSELF wrote!!
In other news, Carol Kaye claims that SHE actually wrote "The Trooper", and was the Bassist on the original version...

I suggest picking up "Standing in the Shadows Of Motown" on DVD and getting the instructional book by the same name. You will see the light!!!! And for the record, Steve Harris was one of the reasons I started playing the bass many many years ago.

Oh, I get it, it's the typical "bassist legend X sucks/sucked because he/she doesn't/didn't pump out 16th notes as fast as he could" routine. |

Of course, his sense of history is flawed because he doesn't seem to get that Jamerson was one of the people who invented electric bass playing and people today still use what he did as a guideline to what they do, one finger or not. Much like kids today think Flea invented slapping and totally disregard Larry Graham. I blame MTV.

I AM still curious about BrandonBass fetish for killing, since it is in his profile Heck, maybe I should not go there.

These two kids, each maybe 14 or 15, were wanking on some guitars, when suddenly one goes to the other: "Dude, oh my god, I heard Stevie Ray Vaughan is DEAD!" And the other is like: "Holy sh*t, NO WAY"
I guess everyone has to find out some time.
Peace
