...isn't that "Hikky Burr"? It is transcribed in the newest Bass Player mag.I'm not a great fan of the picked tone...but this is a cool vibe.

Yeah I'm not crazy about picked bass either. She's a converted guitarist from way back when. She took to bass on a studio session when a guy didn't show up. They liked her playing so much she got recognized in the recodring industry and she began to get more calls for bass than guitar. The rest is history. She's played on a ton of hit records since the early 60s.

I'm old enough to know Kaye's history...I even own (still) about 3-4 original pressings of her Bass Books (trust me, "Bass Books" back in the day were rare).
