I remember that I was so desperate to get the "Dream Police" LP that I lied to my mom for her to give me money (supposedly for something I was asked to get at school) and I bought it along with Molly Hatchet's "Flirtin' With Disaster" (both produced by Tom Werman, BTW). DP is still one of my favorite rock LPs. "Dream Police", "Gonna Raise Hell", the great "Voices"... better said: I enjoyed the whole LP. Rick Nielsen's tone was one of the things that made me feel obsessed with that album.

Well, this thread is about Tom Petersson, but can't resist...

And how about this one?

I'd love to have a double neck bass like this!

Actually, Tom has been playing mainly Waterstone 12-string basses for the last few years. Cool semi-hollowbody 12-strings....

Talking

I met Tom outside the Royal Albert Hall in London a couple of years ago and had a very quick chat with him. Nice guy.

I mentioned my own Hamer B12s to him and he said "Hamers are for girls". I don't think he was entirely serious, but he often appears to be very dismissive indeed of anything he doesn't currently use.
