It says in the tags that this dude is 3 years old..!

- and I was having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that Victor Wooten started when he was 5...

The notes aren't necessarily in tune 100% of the time, but that kid has the groove down PAT.

That's excellent, I like the kid's attitude in the slap video. He knows he's bringing the funk.

I cant understand how kids of that age even understand HOW to play. I got friends who even can't play something easy (7 nation army alike things) after trying for an hour

Check out the way the fingers on his left hand are spaced out. That's the natural form that will make him REAL good down the line. Let's hope he doesn't burn out by the time he's 12...LOL

I don't really understand your point of view, he has a sense of rhythm, and if you look at the video where he plays along to "Lydia" that's prrof that he has a vague understanding of how harmony should sound.

And he's clearly spending a lot of time playing, and really going for it, if he carries on playing, and works hard, he could go very far, cause that's a hell of a lot of talent, and there are quite a few untalented, very skilled musicians who have simply got where they are from working themselves stupid.
