Anybody else checked this guy out? I became turned onto Anti-flag a couple of months ago and I think that there's quite a bit of talent in this band, especially in the world of punk. I've been learning the bass lines for some of the songs and am havign quite a time of it. Chris #2 just picks way too goddamn fast! I think this guy is one of the best bassists out there currently, what are your guys opinions?

I agree wholeheartedly with most of their politics, and thier talent is outstadning for a modern band.

I think Chris #2 is amazingly talented! Personally one of the best bassists i know about and EASILY the best punk bassist i know about! I can't get enough of this band atm!
Angry Young and poor and press corpse have amazing basslines! Quiet chalenging too, which i don't find with music now-a-days.

His solo project was a joke. I remeber my firend picking it up and as soon as he bought it, we started listening in the car. After about 5 minutes he said, "What the hell is this Sh**!", and threw it out the window. But yeah, Anti Flag has always had sweet bass lines. Between Pat and Chris, the rythm section has got it going on.
I personally like Andy on bass . No denying, Chris2 is good.

Recently been learning some more anti-flag songs, and my god, he has some fantastic riff! Seriously, this guy is very very talented! Let's hope he(and Anti-Flag) have many more years ahead of them, making great music!
If you've never heard of him, check him out on youtube or go buy some Anti-Flag albums!NOW!

| | | | Chris is one of the best bassists in modern day punk, if not all forms of music. I hate how a lot of people write Anti-Flag off as just a bunch of political punks that can't play without even listening to them. They are actually a lot more talented than most people give them credit for. I think that Chris #2's best bass line is in their cover of The Freak's, the nerds and the romantics by the bouncing souls. |
