If I play my Spector (see sig) through an Ibanez TS9DX, into my Ampeg SVT-CL (slight nudge to mids and highs, ultra hi engaged), into my SWR 12 stack, I say it gets pretty dang close

I've been trying, with every bass I get, to see how close they can come to getting "that" tone. So far, this is the single combo that got me there. See profile for previous gear if you must

I haven't owned a Ric, yet. Unless they decide to start making a 6 string bass, I doubt I will also. So I've been seeking alternate methods. Why? Because I can.
I'm sure there's a million combos of amps, cabs, pedals and players that can nail the tone, but this is the first that I have with any setup I've had. Go me? Go me!
Now if only I can translate "my" tone from my head to my speakers, I'd be set. So close... oh so close!
