Wow, I'm not really a fan of that version and I have to admit that because of that I just skipped through it - but in the snippets that I saw, I didn't find the "train wreck" I was expecting after reading your comment. But again, I didn't see it in it's entirety, so I can't really have an opinion.
But I want to say is, that your statement/implication that their "arrogance" caused them to make a "GREAT error of judgment" which led to them "looking stupid" is a bit over the top, in my opinion. It contains a judgement of character traits and some personal disrespect that's simply out of place, I think.
Why express your dislike of this version/performance with such a (implicit) personal attack on the performers?
