Those of us who went to the School of Bass last week in Scottsdale had the pleasure of meeting Chuck Rainey, hearing him play, and spending 4 days hanging out with him. He is truly a nice guy, and very approachable. It was a great experience. They had a nightly concert, and he performed Friday night for a whole set and again for two songs on Saturday night with Bobby Vega. Two great bass players playing together. His playing was great, and he sang too.

He signed my Lakland JO4 and played it for a minute. Now I can never clean it or I'll remove the mojo....

This is me with Chuck.

Don`t get me wrong, Mr. Rainey is great, but this is the most recorded bassist of all time: http://www.nashvillesound.net/firstindex.html

another case of bad memory (CK)

Bob Moore DOES have an impressive career, but some of the claimed hits (on that site) just aren't his work . . .

Brook Benton - "A Rainy Night In Georgia" Harold Cowart
Freddy Fender - "Before the Next Teardrop Falls" Donny King
Simon & Garfunkel - "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "The Boxer" Joe Osborne

Do you have a link to a more accurate discography?

And...I wonder if any of these were recorded tick-tack?
