Clapton tour 07, anyone seen?

Sign in to disble this ad
Clapton is coming here to Fargo and I will definately be going as Willie Weeks is playing bass on this tour. My question is for those who may have seen this show. I want to get tickets on the side where Willie will be, but am not sure which side he is on. I know Nathan East was always on the right (stage left), but really need to know where WW will be. Anyone?

Thanks.

I'm so thrilled I'm gonna see him with Willie too! I like him about 10 timed better than Nathan East.

In the pictures of the current tour Willie is to Clapton's right. I don't know what that would be in "stage" terms.

When I saw him in Boston Willie was to Clapton's left (audience's right) most of the time. Derek Trucks was just to his right, and Doyle was farthest to the right, but you'll be able to watch their solos on big screens anyways. He really is a phenominal player, and had 2 solos when I saw him.

IMO the best part is watching Clapton and Derek Trucks duke it out. You'll never see two more phenominal guitarists on one stage. Doyle is great too.

Oh, I'd go with what Earthday says.

I don't think it'll exactly be terrible if you're sitting in front of Eric or Derek, though.

Yeah, I must make an addition to my last post. My love of Willie doesn't mean I don't respect Nathan, in case somebody was going to flame me.

let's hope they're better than last years band. No soul or emotion at all. a real shame.

You missed it: three nights at MSG, two at Fleet Center, late Sept.-early Oct. '06. As of that time Willie Weeks on stage left. You can find pictures on the "whereseric" site.

I don't know who he had last year, but with Chris Stainton, W. Weeks and Derek Trucks there ought to be no shortage of soul this year!

It's a great show. Robert Cray opened at MSG and joined Eric for a few songs in his set. Derek and Doyle played great stuff BUT Eric was the star and played very inspired. Willie Weeks was to Erics left and the band was smokin'. Just GO!
